Conflict Resolution:  
A Proven Client Methodology

Sherry Ray Consulting has a five step process that has been proven to resolve most work-related and personal conflicts. What Sherry has discovered throughout the years is that people struggle with conflict more than anything else. Whether it is the conflict within themselves or with others, Sherry has the solution for both.

  1. STOP: Determine the core isssue.
  2. LOOK: Clarify if your old emotional tapes are playing. Is this your ego and judgement or do you have enough information to even decide?
  3. QUESTION: Ask open-ended questions such as, tell me more and help me understand. Continue asking questions until you understand where the other person is coming from.
  4. LISTEN: Relax…let go of all your preconceived notions.  Be completely “present” so that you can truly hear what is being said. Repeat what you think you heard back to the individual for clarity and then listen some more.  People need to know they are being heard – that alone will begin to defuse the conflict.
  5. RESOLVE: With this greater understanding and without ego openly discuss a win-win solution.
